As we walked around the familiar halls of the Phoenix Convention Center we saw a man wearing a shirt that embodies our own sentiment… “It’s Still Comic-Con tome” it read and it sure was.

Over the past few years there has been many changes to our own beloved home town con. The name Fan Fusion is in fact the 3rd name this con has operated under in as many years. When institutions undergo a lot of changes in a short amount of time it normally ends up being really good or really bad.

To our overwhelming delight the former is the case here.

We had a blast with a wonderful combination of both old favorites and new attractions.

This year saw “Captain Sulu to rescue” the sub title that Star Trek legend George Takei said was a far more suitable for the 6th installment of the movie series.

Elijah Wood told us all that Tony from I don’t feel at home in this world anymore was among one of the roles he’d jump back into in a heart beat.

There were many truly awesome panels put on by actual PhD’s and researchers on various science and how it relates to the things we love.

And we heard the most impassioned panel which explained in minute detail how Howard the duck was and is in fact the most influential character in all of Marvel,

Shopping was of course amazing and this (semi-embarrassed) shopper went a touch overboard on the Funko Pops lol

All told it was a great year and we can’t wait for fan Fusion 2020
